MARTHA DUGAN CONCERTO COMPETITION
The Youth Orchestras of Charlottesville-Albemarle sponsors the Martha Dugan Concerto
Competition each fall for instrumentalists, ages 10-18, in the central Virginia area.
This competition is open to all music students except pianists (see piano competition
following), regardless of whether they have played with the Youth Orchestra.
The winner of the competition wins $250 and will perform his/her concerto with the
Youth Orchestra at the Martha Dugan Concerto Concert in the winter of the following year.

CMTA-YOCA PIANO CONCERTO COMPETITION
The Charlottesville Music Teachers Association and the Youth Orchestras of
Charlottesville-Albemarle sponsor an annual piano concerto held in the fall for
pianists, ages 10-18, from the central Virginia area. The winner of the piano
competition wins $100 and performs his/her concerto with the Youth Orchestra on the
spring concert of the following year. For more information, contact the CMTA.
